My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At 2 years old and 65 lbs, Mary Martin moves the way she feels — smooth, quick, deliberate, like she’s tracing invisible paths only she can sense. She’s fully trained, brilliant, and beautifully athletic: a runner, a toy-chaser, a fetch enthusiast, the kind of dog who comes alive in an active home where the world is wide open and the days have rhythm.

But she also needs someone who understands that bravery looks different on certain hearts. She’s cautious with new people, particular about other dogs, and needs to be the only pet in a home with no young kids. What she wants isn’t complicated — just time, patience, and space to approach you at her own pace. When she leans in, it’s earned. When she stays, it’s real.

She’s the one who watches first — chestnut coat glowing warm in the light, amber eyes studying the room like she’s reading its soul, deciding if it’s safe to bring her own forward.

Mary has been in rescue nearly her entire life. Two years of waiting.

Two years of watching others go home.

Two years of offering her quiet, steady hope to anyone who might see her.

If you feel that tug in your chest, follow it.

More about this rescue

Mission

Our mission is to help all animals in need and educate pet owners about the realities of pet guardianship. We serve our community through the endorsement of spay or neuter for all companion animals, and promoting respect and responsibility for all animals on this earth to enhance the lives of pet owners and their companion animals.

Overview

Braveheart Bulliez Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization headed by Carolyn O’Brien and a network of experienced and dedicated animal rescue volunteers. We work with local shelters to:
-- identify animals in need of immediate rescue
-- provide vaccination and spaying/neutering (as necessary)
-- relocate the animals to caring foster homes for care for socialization and rehabilitation
-- seek qualified adopters to give these animals, new, loving homes!

Description

We are a 501(c)3 organization completely supported by donations that are used for paying for medical, food, and transportation costs. Braveheart Bulliez Rescue actively searches for permanent homes for its rescued animals and has a specialty for abuse and neglect. We also provide assistance to individuals as well as other animal rescue groups fostering animals in need of permanent new homes.
