My name is Zoey and I'm a female American Bull Dog/Pitbull mix and I'm 8 months old and I weigh 55 lbs. I'm white and black in color. I'm spayed and I'm up to date on all my shots. I was 4DX tested and was negative.

I'm housetrained and crate trained. I'm good with other dogs, not sure on cats, and I'm good with older children, no small children because I like to jump. I could use some basic training but who doesn't! I'm a very sweet girl who needs lots of love and patience, and someone who'll give me the best life ever. You won't be sorry, I'm a good girl!

Zoey came into the East Hartford Animal Clinic to be euthanized because her owner could not afford a life saving surgery that Zoey needed, The staff at EHAC couldn't see euthanizing a sweeet puppy and immediately started trying to get Zoey help.

A donor stepped up and donated the money for her surgery she had. The surgery require the removal of 8 inches of her intestines that had become necrotic. Zoey is doing great now and is ready for a new home.

All adopters are required to fill out an adoption application, agree to have a home check and agree to release your vet records to the rescue for a vet check. If approved, you will have a meet n greet with the dog. Adoption fees vary on each dog. All our rescues are fully vetted according to age and deemed healthy.

We are a small no-kill rescue. We want to save the lives of innocent dogs, that have been abandoned, abused, or forced out of their homes, and provide quality medical care and place them into forever homes, and give them a second chance at life. SSCDR will also provide awareness of animal abuse and promoting the importance of being a responsible pet owner, socialization, vaccinating, spay/neuter, training, and good nutrition.
