My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Playful, athletic, and with a huge personality, Rosebud is a lanky bundle of joy. She is around 10 months old and highly energetic – she loves to chase the wand toy or the laser pointer or her sister, Butterscotch. But once she’s tired out, she will come sit next to you, nuzzle you, and purr. She’s a smart girl who responds to her name, fearless (not even afraid of the vacuum!), and the cutest thing is how she announces herself wherever she goes with little chirps.
Since coming inside in November, Rosebud has blossomed into a sweet, loving house cat. She may occasionally nip at your hand in a friendly way, which you can discourage by redirecting her attention to a toy. She and Butter are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Their sweetness as a pair will bring endless joy into your home!
Both cats are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, litter-box trained, and free of parasites. They have tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Additional adoption info

Our cats are almost all in foster homes. Upon approval of your application (including reference check), we will connect you with the foster parent(s) so that you can meet the kitty you're interested in. If it's a good fit, we'll do a home check for safety issues, and then process the paperwork so that you can officially adopt your new family member!

More about this rescue

We are a network of rescuers in Central Brooklyn (primarily in Bed Stuy, Ocean Hill, and Crown Heights) who help each other out. We do both TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) as well as the rescue and adoption of friendly cats and kittens that we find on the streets. We don't have a physical facility, so our cats are usually in foster homes, or staying with us in our own homes. Our goal is to find loving, permanent homes for all the cats we take off the street, and to make better lives for the ones we return there.
