My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Palestine, Texas
DOB: 09/16/2019 (Estimate)

Maggie is a beautiful Great Dane with a personality that is as big as her legs are long.
She is the life of the party with her fur siblings in her household. She gets along famously with the five resident dogs, both male and female, and one suave male cat. She even likes cows! If you're looking for a canine jetsetter, she's your gal!
This girl is like a motion machine. She's got energy for days and can run laps around anyone who dares to challenge her in a game of fetch. But don't be fooled; Maggie's got some lazy bones too, and she's not afraid to show them off. You can easily catch her taking breaks and lounging on the couch with her humans when it's time for some R&R.
When it comes to boundaries, Maggie is all about respecting the doggie gates inside the house. She knows where the line is, and she plays by the rules – well, most of the time!
Now, let's talk about truck rides. Maggie is a self-proclaimed truck aficionado. You'd think she's auditioning for the next "Truckers Got Talent" show the way she lights up when it's time to hit the road.
Maggie is a farm girl at heart, having bravely faced both a full-size tractor and a zero-turn mower without a hint of fear. She's the kind of dog who makes you believe she's invincible!
As for new people, Maggie likes to put on a show at first – a little aloof, a touch leery. She warms up to women faster than men. But give her a moment, and she'll warm up quicker than a toaster on a winter morning. Once she decides you're part of the crew, you're in for some serious tail-wagging.
In Maggie, you'll find a BIG GIRL with boundless energy, a heart of gold, and a hilarious knack for keeping you on your toes. She's a whole lot of fun packed into those giant paws, and she's ready to bring laughter and adventure to a forever home that can appreciate her unique blend of energy and chill. Maggie: the life of the party you always wanted to hang with but never knew you could!

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are scattered all over the United States in many different states. Scheduling a meeting would not be a problem. We hold many events throughout the year. You can find the latest news on our facebook page or website.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
