Personality: Brave, Curious, Energetic, Inquisitive, Mouthy (puts mouth on you but does not bite down, usually thinking your fingers are food)

Favorite treats: Pumpernickel loves pumpkin seeds and bell peppers

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Hamster & Gerbil Food

Favorite toys and activities: Pumpernickel loves running through tunnels and digging around in his bedding. He’s very good at making extravagant tunnels. He also really enjoys burying his wheel.

Potty trained: No

This animal’s daily routine: Pumpernickel's current routine consists of sleeping in till the afternoon and then getting up to get a treat around 8 pm. After that, he works on reinforcing his burrows and reburying his wheel. Pumpernickel likes to stay up late into the night but you can occasionally find him exploring during the day.

Pumpernickel came to MNPPR after his previous owner became too busy to care for him.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Maple Grove PetSmart - 11200 Fountains Dr, Maple Grove, MN 55369 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
