Hi! My name is Skye and I am an energetic beagle boy that is looking for a forever home. I am 7 ½ months old and was born on 4-24-23. I don’t really look like a puppy anymore and probably weigh around 25 lbs. I was surrendered to Penny Angels in November because my previous owners said their child was allergic to me. I was adopted into my 2nd home through Penny Angels but was returned after 2 weeks because I was not a good fit for them.
I am still technically a puppy, so you have to keep a close eye on me; do not leave me in your home unsupervised because I will probably figure out a way to get into things that are not meant for me. That’s what puppies do sometimes! I hope you will take the time to train me and teach me right from wrong, (in a firm but gentle way). I still have puppy energy and would do best in a home with another dog AND a fenced-in yard so that we can run around and play. In my second home, I barked when I was crated when my owner was home, so you might have to be patient with me if you plan to use a crate. A crate is a safe place for me to relax when you are not able to watch me, but there are plenty of other ways that you can keep me safe and out of trouble. (You just have to be willing to take the time to work with me.) I like to give hugs and I’m a good snuggle partner. I get along fine with kids but might have too much energy for small kids. I am using a doggie door in Rescue but will need to learn new rules in your home.
Adopting ANY pet is a lifetime commitment, so please adopt me ONLY IF you have adequate time to spend with me every day AND you are willing to make a lifetime commitment to me!
