My story

Hi there! My name is Perry and I am a handsome beagle boy in search of a new home. I am approx. 2 years old and weigh ~38 lbs. I was recently surrendered to Penny Angels because my previous owner had health issues and was not able to properly take care of me. I am neutered and up-to-date with vaccinations. I have a wonderful temperament. I am a happy & loving boy. I will snuggle with you and give you lots of doggie love. I am crate trained but will need some help with house-training. I mostly used wee-wee pads indoors in the past but have been using the doggie door during the day in Rescue. I will need to learn new rules in your home. I would also benefit from basic training so that I can be your very best boy. I am strong and tend to pull when being walked, so keep that in mind if you don’t have a fenced-in yard and need to walk me. I get along fine with other dogs and would be happy to have a doggie friend but I would probably be okay by myself, too. Can you make room for me in your heart and home?

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Beagle Adoption event CANCELED! Penny Angels Beagle Rescue (PABR) will NOT be at PetSmart in Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday, March 23, due to inclement weather. PABR will return to PetSmart next Saturday, March 30, from 11-2 pm for their Beagle Adoption / Meet & Greet Event.

More about this rescue

Penny Angels Beagle Rescue (PABR) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to safely rehome unwanted, abandoned, injured, senior, or stray beagles. We are dedicated to taking in unwanted beagles from shelters or private homes. The dogs that come into our Rescue are examined by a veterinarian, tested for heartworms, brought up-to-date with vaccinations, and spayed or neutered. If they need special care, it is provided. All dogs are microchipped before being adopted.

If you are interested in adopting one of our beagles, please contact us directly so we can start the adoption process. We require both personal and vet references. We need to be able to verify that you are a homeowner or that you rent a property that allows you to have pets. Having a fenced yard is a plus, but not a requirement. Any adoptions that do not work out must be brought back to our Rescue as per the signed contract.
