My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:5/1/2021

Description:  Meet Sully via You Tube! Simply copy/paste this link: https://youtube.com/shorts/1JjBqFprCiw

Soul Man (AKA Sully) is a big boy with a big heart. He likes to hang around his human, whether on a desk while you work, in your lap watching TV or sleeping next to a warm body in bed. He is very curious and will open cabinets to peer inside, He likes to look out windows and make biscuits on soft things. He might have been allowed out prior to being given up as he will try to dart outside when the door is open. He is not much of a talker but does love head pets. Most of the time he is pretty mellow but if startled or scared he can scratch. In prior foster homes he was agitated with other animals so he will do best as the only pet in his household. He would make the perfect companion for someone with a stable, quiet home.

Words to Describe Me: Affectionate, not much of a talker but love to hang around

Favorite Place to Sleep: next to you.

Perfect Day: looking out window and taking naps

Kitty's Likes: chin scratches, head scratches

Kitty's Dislikes: get belly rubs, be picked up too much or scruffed. Shy & skittish in new environments

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: pet me and rub under my chin

Favorite toy: fuzzy ball

Additional adoption info

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
