My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kitty (about 7 months old as of December, 2023) is a spayed female torbie shorthaired cat. Kitty was found on the streets of Waukegan in early November, thin, hungry, and so starved for attention she let strangers pick her up and carry her home where they posted her as found online and waiting to see who was missing this sweet girl. Unfortunately she was not microchipped and no one has responded to their postings so they got her spayed and are now looking for a forever home for her. In her foster home she is a happy little indoor cat who loves sunning herself in the window, playing with all sorts of toys and empty boxes or paper bags, and sitting and watching TV with people. Her rescuers wouldn't mind keeping such a nice cat but they are older and with her being so young they don't feel like they can guarantee they can be there for her the rest of her life so they are hoping to find another family that will appreciate all she has to offer just as much as they do. Right now Kitty is living as an only cat, but we don't have any reason to think she couldn't get along with other cats and she might be okay with a really calm dog given a very slow introduction. She might get a little overwhelmed with really hyper kids but as a friendly and playful girl we think she could do well with any kids that can be respectful as she warms up to them.
