Required: someone who's home a lot
Sweet Benny is ready to find his family to love forever! This scruffy little dapper dude is estimated to be one to two years old. When we got him, he only weighed ten pounds (should be about 20), was severely matted and malnourished. Since RA rescued him he has already put on five pounds. The vet says he needs to gain another 5, which shouldn't be too hard because this little boy loves his food and treats!
Benny is very playful, loves toys and is learning to sit and play fetch. He is perfect in the car, walks on a leash and loves walks. He does get excited and jumps when he first sees people but we are working on that. He is doing good with pottying outside, but will need to be taken out multiple times a day as he does really well on a schedule. At night he sleeps in his crate next to his foster mom and sleeps all night.
Benny is very friendly and has been great with other dogs both big and small. He would be fine in a multiple dog family or as a single dog. As long as he gets your lap and lots of attention he will thrive in either situation. Benny gets comfort in being close to his person. He follows his foster mom around everywhere. He gets anxious when left alone, but we are working with him on that. For this reason, we would like Benny to be adopted by someone that may work from home or is retired.
