My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful boy has the personality to match! He is a total sweetheart! He has only lived outdoors and so he will need someone with the patience to teach him the ways of indoor living. He hasn't been around kids but we believe that he will be fine with older, dog savvy children (10+). He hasn't been socialized much with other dogs but did live with another female Husky. He may do best with larger female dogs. No cats.

He is a great running partner and stays right by your side! He is an active pooch but not hyperactive. As with most Huskies, he is independent and a free spirit. He may alert bark at strangers but warms up quickly!

Fully fenced in yard will be required. Adopters must live in Western Washington. Fosters must live in Kitsap County.

More about this rescue

We are a local, non-profit organization based out of Kitsap County that rescues adoptable dogs and cats that may not thrive in the shelter environment and simply need a good home and a little training and TLC to make them great pets.
Additionally, KARE provides education programs, benefiting the community by helping to reduce or eliminate behaviors in at-risk dogs that cause pets to be relinquished in the first place.
