Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Harriet!
Hello there, my name is Harriet. I'm a sweet little senior gal, weighing just 11 pounds. I used to live with lots and lots of dogs, so the good news is, I'm friends with all of them. Some I try to play with, others I just watch play. Specifically, I try to play with the little puppy in my foster home. Though I haven't met any cats, I'd probably do well since I don't seem to want to hurt the fast little dog here. I can always be cat tested for the right people! I'm a bit more shy than other dogs, so if you have kids I just ask that they are old enough to understand I may not want to be held, and it may take me a bit to warm up to them. I'm a good girl and go potty outside, but because I'm scared of new noises outside and the leash, I would do best with a fenced-in yard. Though, if you have the time and patience to teach me that these things aren't so scary and you will keep me safe, I could easily learn to walk on a leash and be safe!
Since I got my yucky teeth fixed, I have started coming out of my shell a bit because I feel better in general. Man, what a difference good dental care does! Now I'm showing more of my personality and becoming funny. One of my favorite things is ear scratches, and I've even started asking for more of them! I have a little work to do regarding not being so leery of walking on the smooth floors here in my foster home, but I'm catching on. Now that I was rescued, and my teeth all fancied up, I'm ready to find my forever home with my special forever family! I just need someone who will be patient and wants to teach me what it's like to be spoiled beyond belief! Do you have a little space in your home and heart for me?
*Harriet is being fostered in the Wakesha area.
