My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Radio!

Radio and Key are BFFs, and they LOVE to play together!

They would be great with other active playful dogs in their new home.

It is so hard to believe Radio has not been swooped up for adoption! She is now one of our Diamond Dogs, which are the pets we highlight as the Diamond in the Ruff seeking their forever home. Her adoption fee has been reduced to $125.

Let me introduce you to Radio, a cutesy mixed breed, Whippet/Terrier, girl picked up as a stray and brought to the Lancaster Animal Shelter. Radio is 1 year old and weighs 20 pounds. Does she ever have lots of personality! She is a tail-wagging, high energy puppy with a real zest for life! She is playful, knows the sit command and will do so for treats. In fact, that was her primary focus during her photo session. She is friendly, affectionate, tries to climb on your lap and give kisses. She likes to be petted and loved on. There is not a bit of fear or nervousness about her. She has adjusted well to her foster home. However, that does not mean she wouldn't dearly love to find her own special person or family that will give her all the TLC she deserves. Radio will need daily exercise, playtime and enrichment. She is so treat-motivated (crazy about carrots) that she is easy to train. There is no doubt that this youngster will become a devoted and loyal family member.

She is potty trained, crate trained and doing great walking on a leash.

Radio gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home and would love a furry friend in her future.

She loves people, other dogs, and would be fine with older kids and cats.

She loves to play, is excellent at fetch, and loves Toys.

Radio is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, micro chipped and heartworm negative.
