My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zion is just the happiest most goofy boy you will ever meet! He is a hound mix and is SO friendly with anyone and everyone and just wants all the attention on him! Zion came into the shelter malnourished, 40lb underweight and it's been a long slow journey getting him healthy but he has been such a trooper and is finally able to be a healthy, happy dog again! Zion knows all of his basic commands and would definitely benefit from someone who is willing to continue to work on his training, especially his separation anxiety. He is still young at just 1 year old so he's got lots of energy and LOTS of love to give! Zion is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines! His adoption fee is $175.

You will have a consultation with one of our adoption counselors to be sure the animal is a good fit for you.

Home Check

We will need to see a copy of a lease and receive landlord approval for you to adopt.

Adoption fees vary based on species and age. A table of the different adoption fees can be found at http://www.whitmanpets.org/adopt/
For adopter's that rent: We require a lease and verbal Landlord approval prior to adoption.
All adopters must fill out an adoption questionnaire. Once filled out, adopters will sit down with an adoption counselor to have an adoption consultation/conversation. Once approved, animals typically can go home same day.
All adoptions are done on first come, first serve, first approved basis. Adopters must be 18 years and older.

Animals are available to view Monday - Wednesday, Friday & Saturdays, 1-6pm. (Closed Thursdays and Sundays). Adoptions times are 1-5:30pm during business hours.
