My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dako may look like a dog from the Jurassic times (that's how he got his name, named after the Dakosaurus!) but don't let his silly looking face take away from his sweet personality! Our vets believe that when Dako was a puppy he had joint malformation which required splints. It seems that Dako never got those splints causing his joints to develop poorly which means he walks a little funny and might have some joint pain. This doesn't stop him from running around though! He is a pit bull mix and just as sweet as can be once he gets to know you! Dako can be shy with new people and takes a while to warm up and show off his happy, silly personality but it's well worth a little bit of patience to see! Dako came into the shelter extremely nervous but after some time and adjusting and learning that we are here to take care of him, he's warmed right up and LOVES getting attention and pets! He loves to cuddle up next to you and roll over for belly rubs! We are not sure how Dako does with other animals yet. But he's a big softie at heart! Dako is an older guy looking for a home that will give him the patience and time he needs to adjust to his new home and to bond with his new people. But we have no doubt, once he bonds to his people/person, he will love you forever and ever! Dako is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines. His adoption fee is $90.
