My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eleven, you think? That's what her years say, but her energy level says more like five. Mollie Bea is a go-getter; a playful, uber- affectionate, purebred piebald doxie sweetheart. She's constantly skittering and scampering around her foster home. She gets along fine with the other pups in the house and loves playing with her foster brother Maxil.
She's been well-taken care of her entire life, loved and vetted, and it shows.
She does not, and I repeat for those of you in the back - she does NOT like cats. Like, at all.
She does well in a quiet household with people that allow her to sniff and say a "how do you do" before scooping her up. If she is rushed, she will bark and let you know she needs a bit of time to adjust and begin to trust. Mollie is working on training meeting new people, so an experienced adopter who is gentle, patient would be best and quickly will become her best friend. She's a tiny sprite, all of 8 pounds and she's ready to be your new best friend in life.

If you are interested in adopting Molly Bea, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to our online adoption application. Molly Bea's adoption fee is $350.

All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Molly Bea will go to his / her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed.

Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees; we are a non-profit.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia.

Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part.

DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
