My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Haven!

Hi everyone, my name is Haven! Luckily, I'm an adult dog, a lady, if you will. I have manners, I'm housetrained, and dang, good girl! I'm just wondering something. Have you ever seen a sweet potato with legs? Well, now you have! I'm about 40 pounds and have some stumpy little legs that make me really short. Everyone who sees me says that I look much smaller than my pictures. That just means I'll need a boost to get into the car so I can go on car rides with you, and if you'll let me sleep in bed with you at night I'll need a boost then too.

I get along well with other dogs and cats. Actually, foster mom says I walked into her house like that has been my home for forever! There is even a small human here, and I don't even mind when she's moving around. I love to relax and watch tv with my humans. I need some work on my leash skills, but I'm super smart, so I'm sure I'll catch on quickly. My one eye is a little funky, but it might just be a deformity since it just looks like tissue. It doesn't hurt at all. After I was found as a stray in Illinois, I'm looking for my forever people who will love me for all that I am, and let me be their safe haven! Could you be my forever?

*Haven is being fostered in Rhinelander.
