My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Monty to CCPAL Rescue Program. Monty is a 2-year old Australian Cattle dog and Whippet. He weighs 39 pounds and is a medium sized boy. He is good with cats, kids and dogs as well. He is potty trained, good on a leash and good in a crate. He is vaccinated, healthy and will be neutered before he is adopted. He currently lives in a home with a family that has children. He was found as a stray and is now looking for his forever home. He was friendly to strangers and moderately active and not too vocal. He is a low to moderate shed. Some shedding but not over the top. He is a great dog and would be a great walking companion for someone wanting a medium sized easier dog to adopt. He entertains himself so he won’t need constant attention from you. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this adorable boy to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. More about this rescue

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Since 2002, CCPAL has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them homes. Our pets are in kennels on an acreage in Texas. We can use a transporter to get them outside of Texas if we find a great home.
