My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bacon came into our rescue about 4 years ago when he was pulled from a kill shelter.  He is slightly handicapped due to a fractured hind right leg that healed before being dumped at the kill shelter, but that doesn't stop him from running around and jumping.  He absolutely loves his (10+ years old) humans so much that he prefers the adults to either work from home or be retired, but it will take him a few weeks to fully acclimate himself to his new enviroment.  Once that happens, Bacon will not want to be far from you! He loves rubbing up against you and pets.  When it comes to pets, he loves his nose, ears and bottom rubbed, but not under his chin or belly.  When it comes to dogs and other cats, he would be fine with a small dog, but will probably not be cuddle buddies.  If there are other cats, just one other cat that is very laid back would probably be best.

In December of 2023, Bacon was diagnosed with Pancreatitis due to stress.  His current foster momma has tried several high protein wet foods, but none of them have been appealing to Bacon and only eats wet food with gravy or sauce.

We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adotpion have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip registration. To apply to adopt, please visit our website www.fcocinc.org and click "Adopt" under the cat you're interested in.
