My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Taz Danforth, a fun-loving, super sweet, and all-around amazing guy! Taz is a friendly, affectionate, playful, funny, and loves giving kisses. He's also a good boy who's great with kids and other dogs, but he can be a little shy at first. He walks well on a leash, but you will need to gain his trust first. Surprisingly, Taz was found abandoned by the side of the road as a puppy. How anyone could leave this adorable pup is beyond us, but we're so glad he's alive and well! With his rough start in life, Taz is a resilient pup who is eager to give and receive love. Don't let his size intimidate you, though - he's as gentle as they come and is always up for a cuddle sesh. If you're interested in welcoming this sweet boy into your family, please fill out an online adoption application. All Taz needs now is that forever family! He is around 2 years old and weighs around 85 pounds. We aren't sure what breed he is, but we this hes a mastiff mix of some sort.

Interested in becoming a forever home for Taz? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application.

Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws .

We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting.

We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.

Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.

All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.

More about this rescue

Friends with Four Paws is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization formed to rescue animals in Oklahoma from imminent death by having mobile adoption locations and providing foster care for dogs and cats. Founded in 1998, we have matched thousands of dogs and cats with their perfect, forever homes, where they otherwise would have been sent to the Rainbow Bridge.

Our program has drastically changed throughout time, as many do. We get our animals from local municipal shelters and from the general public. Once they are in our program, they go to a foster for several weeks, get all of their veterinary work done, and are listed for adoption.

Our transport program allows us to move dogs through our system fairly quickly, which means we are able to save many lives. We LOVE our adopters, fosters and volunteers and would not be able to make the difference we make without them.
