Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Joey is a handsome and sweet four-year-old, 20-pound, black and white male Shih Tzu looking for a loving guardian.
Joey just celebrated his fourth birthday on the 13th of December. Often in rescue we don’t know the age of a pet, but Joey has been loved, but his current human doesn’t have the time in his schedule to care for him.
Joey is nervous with new people and new dogs at first. But given a few minutes, he is wonderful and playful with other dogs. A walk around the block as introduction and all is good. I was told Joey has shared a home with cats, but I haven’t personally seen him interact with felines.
He’s looking for someone to take him into their home and heart. Joey is well-behaved in the home; he hasn’t been crated. He loves going for walks, so he’s looking for an active person who can provide daily exercise.
Joey is extremely healthy, neutered (yesterday), heartworm-tested negative, and on monthly heartworm preventative, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, leptospirosis and bordetella.
His adoption fee of $500 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Joey, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
