My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET ODIN #7!!!

Odin is a super playful boy!! He loves toys and loves treats. He is super smart and a very good listener. Odin does well when left alone and is not destructive or have any separation anxiety. He learns new commands quickly and easily trained new things! Even though Odin does well by himself, after he runs the yard he does like to be with "his person". He is also very accepting of new people with proper introduction.

He is a great, big beautiful boy who will do well in a moderately active home. He can be a bit mouthy, but is a loving pup. Odin does well with kids, as long as he has proper intros-- and kids should be older, 7+.  No toddlers or infants. Unfortunately Odin has decided that he'd like to be the only 4-legged in the home, so no other dogs or cats.  He's looking for the right person to give him his forever home. Meet Odin today!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Go meet their pets

We attend multiple adoption events throughout the valley during Spring and Fall.
If you are interested in a specific pet, please complete our adoption application found on our website and we can then coordinate a meet and greet.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
