My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Date of Birth: October 2, 2022

Introduction:
Meet Sophie, a healthy and fully vaccinated feline who joined us from another rescue back in October. Sophie is ready to embark on a new chapter of her life and find a forever home where she can share her independent yet sweet nature.

Background:
Sophie's journey brought her to us from a different rescue, and now she's seeking a loving family to call her own. With her vaccinations up-to-date and a clean bill of health, Sophie is ready to bring joy and companionship to her new home.

Personality:
Sophie is a super sweet cat with an independent spirit. While she may enjoy her solo moments, she's not shy about expressing her desire for attention. Sophie has a charming way of meowing to grab your attention as you walk by, hoping for a few pets. She does well with other cats and is known for her friendly and welcoming demeanor.

Perfect Companion:
If you appreciate a cat with a bit of independence and a whole lot of sweetness, Sophie might be the ideal companion for you. Her loving nature and social interactions make her a wonderful addition to any household.

Adoption Details:
If Sophie sounds like the perfect match for your home, don't wait to apply. We are currently running by appointment only. Only approved applications are allowed to meet our pets. Applications can be found at eastshoreha.org! Once you submit your application one of our team members will reach out to set up a time for you to come meet all our adoptable pets. Please apply online or call before showing up at the shelter. Thanks!

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
