My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Twinkie: A Vibrant Companion Ready for a Forever Home
Twinkie is a delightful, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped female dog searching for her perfect match. Twinkie has mastered the art of sitting patiently before meals and when the gate opens, other than that, she is still working on being well mannered, as she has a lot of energy in her. However, she did master housetraining and rarely has an accident in her kennel.
This high-energy canine is ideal for an active household, ready to join you in lively games or invigorating walks. While her energetic nature is apparent, her unique talent- squirming and loud screams-adds an extra layer of charm (in her opinion).
Twinkie's journey to find her forever home showcases her resilience and adaptability. Now, she eagerly awaits a loving family to share her affection with!

NOTE*** Twinkie is currently in Foster at The Mutt Hutt! Please submit an application to set up a meet and greet with this awesome pup!

More about this shelter

Animals Are Our Mission

Over 1,100 animals pass through our doors every year. Did you know that the average cost to get our animals ready to be adoptable is roughly $350 per animal? That is because we require our adoptables to be spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adopting out.

Population control and disease management are issues in our community that we are working hard to resolve. Your donations help ensure we can continue our mission.

We have an amazing team of hard working staff caring for our animals 7 days a week. They are supported by a group of engaged board members that are focused on bettering our organization.
