My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Atoka, Tennessee
DOB: 04/07/2021

Tallulah Boo is an amazing Merle piebald beauty whose unique markings are just the start of her originality. Despite her deficits, Tallulah's spirit and personality shine brightly, making her a true unicorn in the dog world. Weighing in at a fun-sized 93 pounds, this stunning girl is all about love, play, and adventure.
Tallulah’s Unique Qualities:
• Deaf, But Super-Powered: Being completely deaf is her superpower. It makes her less reactive to her environment than other dogs, allowing her to remain calm and composed in various situations.
• Good with Cats and Dogs: she is a social butterfly who gets along well with both cats and dogs.
• Kennel and Potty Trained: She’s reliable in her kennel and knows when and where to do her business.
• Basic Obedience: Tallulah knows basic commands and is a pro at sitting still for nail trims.
A Mischievous, Loving Heart: Tallulah is a playful and mischievous girl who loves to show off her intelligence. She knows how to open cabinets, drawers, and fridges but is easily thwarted by child locks—knowing her, she'll grow opposable thumbs! Though she may sneak around and carry off items as trophies, she’s not destructive and simply enjoys entertaining herself.
Adventure-Ready and Well-Mannered: This smart lady has good leash manners and loves a good adventure. She does well in public settings and stores, making her an excellent companion for outings and escapades.
Enrichment and Engagement: She thrives on mental stimulation and needs an owner who can provide the enrichment she craves. She’s not one to sit idle; if she isn’t given the attention and brain engagement she needs, she’ll find her own ways to stay busy.
Loving and Gentle: Though she hasn’t been around small children, she did wonderfully when meeting 12-year-old guests in her foster home. She’s loving and gentle, always ready to snuggle and be your loyal companion.
Tallulah is a sweetheart who doesn’t let her deficits define her. With her unique looks, sharp mind, and loving heart, she’s ready to be someone’s favorite adventure buddy and forever friend. If you’re looking for a dog who’s as intelligent and playful as she is loving and loyal, this bold beauty is the perfect match for you!

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
