My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Dallas, Texas
DOB: 01/10/2024

Marisol is an independent thinker who loves to observe her surroundings, always scheming on how to get what she wants. With her sharp mind and quick learning abilities, she is the perfect candidate for anyone looking to teach their furry friend some impressive tricks or simply enjoy some fun training sessions.
Despite her high energy levels, Marisol knows how to unwind and loves nothing more than cuddling up with her favorite human after a long day of play. She's a show stealer, too – always ready to strike a pose and model for the camera, especially when she's decked out in her favorite clothes. Yes ..that’s right you can dress this puppy up and she will strut herself on the catwalk or 'dogwalk' in this case.
Her likes include chew toys, doggie ice cream, and, of course, snuggling up for naps with her human. However, she's not a fan of being carried around – she's got places to explore and things to do and remember- she is Miss Independent!!
When it comes to mealtime, Marisol prefers to dine solo, as she can be a bit food aggressive around other dogs. But don't worry – she's crate trained. She is working hard on her potty training and leash skills and making progress every day.
While she isn't a big fan of leashes just yet, she's getting there with a little patience and practice. She thrives in an active environment and would do best with someone who can keep up with her high energy levels.
Although she's great with other dogs, big or small, it's probably best to keep kids under four away for now – Marisol is still learning her manners, and her nibbling tendencies might not be suitable for tiny tots.
Overall, she really is a sweet and adventurous girl who's ready to take on the world – just make sure to keep an eye on her, as she's quite the escape artist! But at the end of the day, all she wants is to curl up and cuddle with her favorite human.

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are scattered all over the United States in many different states. Scheduling a meeting would not be a problem. We hold many events throughout the year. You can find the latest news on our facebook page or website.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
