My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPT ME! Meet Rider, AKA Sir George! Your Future Loyal Companion. Rider is a handsome 19-month-old, purebred, neutered male Collie. Originally bred for the show ring, he’s a stunning example of his breed.
Personality: Rider's sociable and amiable nature shines through in his interactions, effortlessly getting along with people, cats, and other dogs. He is the epitome of calm and steadiness, displaying remarkable traits that could make him an excellent therapy dog.
Training & Behavior: Rider is well-trained, responding to commands such as ‘sit’ and adept at walking on a leash. He usually comes when called and is a fast learner, eagerly embracing play and exploration. His playful prance and love for chewing on bones are sure to bring joy to your home.
Health Background: While Rider is in overall good health, he has battled allergic dermatitis, since he was a puppy and it is likely to be a life long condition. His diet is crucial for his well-being, with a recommendation for raw salmon or any exotic protein.
Special Needs: Potential adopters should be aware of and ready to manage his dermatological needs. This includes his special diet frequent medicated bathes and possible ongoing veterinary care. All of this is very manageable and worth it for a special forever collie like Rider.
Rider’s Journey: Despite his early path as a show dog, Rider’s true calling is being a loving companion. He is ready to leave his medical hold and find a home where his unique needs and loving personality will be cherished.
Rider is more than just a Collie; he’s a loyal friend waiting to bring love and happiness to his new family. If you’re prepared to embrace all of Rider, including his special health considerations, and bring this wonderful dog into your life please contact us at our website and fill out an adoption application. Please note! We only adopt out to individuals who live in Southern California.
