My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello friends! I'm a sweet energetic girl! I'm just two years young and ready to learn and go adventuring! I'd love an active person or family, but I'd definitely need an introduction to any men in the family. Some men make me nervous and I take time to warm up. I am super smart and need guidance on how to use my brains! Learning new things, playing with toys and puzzle toys is so much fun! If you have the energy to match mine then call 719-686-7707 and come meet me!

Additional adoption info

To adopt:
All adoptions must be done in person. Visit the shelter to meet the adoptable animals you would like to consider. TCRAS is open 6 days a week, please see hours of operation.

Your visit with each animal will be assisted by a trained adoption specialist to answer questions, address concerns and to help you decide if the animal is a good fit for your home environment (i.e. children, other pets, specific needs, etc). You can also bring in your current pets to do a visitation (this may be required with certain animals).

More about this shelter

In the year 2000, the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) was formed and continued under this leadership to the present day. Our shelter is a small, rural shelter. Every year, over 800 lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and cats get assistance from TCRAS. We do not euthanize for time or space.
