My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Lila (pronounced Lee-la)

I'm a busy cat. First, I've got to see what's happening out the window. Next, I'll see if any closets or cupboards need inspecting. And then there are my naps. I can't be late for those. I can fit a little socializing into my schedule... shall we plan on breakfast and dinner?

I'm looking for a cat-savvy family with older children and no other cats please! I love to play and zoom around the room after hours of bird watching. Treat puzzles are a mid-day must, and I like to end my busy day with a relaxing lap nap.

Lila will do best in a home where her family can be mindful of her body language when it comes to petting, and practice consent to pet. She does better with short sessions followed by breaks and sometimes needs space to explore and do her own thing. These breaks can come in the form of tossing treats to redirect, or placing treats on a snufflemat/puzzle. She is still learning to communicate her needs and would do best with a patient a calm family.

If you are interested in adopting Lila, please send an email to catfostersana@gmail.com to arrange an initial virtual meet & greet with the pet's foster parent or a staff member. They will reply to you within 24-48 hours.
