Initially abandoned in Texas while pregnant, she faced adversity by delivering a litter of stillborn puppies in a high-kill shelter. Adding to her remarkable journey, Penelope stepped in as a foster mom for two orphaned puppies when another mother in need couldn't manage them all. Now at Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Alabama, Penelope is housebroken, eager to learn leash manners, and thrives in a fenced yard where she can play and explore. Her friendly nature extends to both dogs and strangers, making her an ideal family companion. Penelope's love for outdoor play and interaction with toys adds a delightful touch to her personality. If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit our website adoptions page to complete an adoption application. at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. Once you have completed the application, we will contact you to let you know you have been approved and then you will be able to set up an appointment to come and meet dogs you are interested in. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
