Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We believe there are no coincidences, that everything happens for a reason and that felt especially true the day Jelly found her way to us. Jelly not only looked strikingly similar to our sanctuary forever foster, Squid, she also proved to overcome some extensive medical needs like him as well. Jelly was found by a good samaritan broken and terrified hiding behind a Glendale vending machine. Jelly was used for her puppies and then starved and neglected only to be discarded by backyard breeders when her body was too broken to produce a profit them. Her pain was their paycheck.
That all changed the day we welcomed Jelly to Sky Sanctuary. Jelly was in terrible condition upon arrival— her skin was painful and we was battling an internal infection that was threatening her life. After a few weeks of advocacy, two big surgeries and a lot of tender love and care— Jelly walked out of the hospital a whole new dog. She was suffering from Pyometra and as she began to feel better, we really saw her personality begin to shine (even more than her fancy new coat of fur)! Jelly is a 5 year old “micro bully” who is truly one of a kind. From what we understand “micro bullys” are a blend of American bully, English bulldog + French bulldog that are produced to be small. And that she is, Jelly is SHOCKINGLY tiny with the biggest personality.
She’s easy going and sweet. Loving to everyone she meets - animal or human. It’s hard to imagine all that she’s been through and even harder to fathom how she could be so kind after such cruelty, but here we are. One kind, gentle, beautiful girl looking for her first real home. A home filled with warmth, meals, snuggles and love. Could you be the one to show Jelly what a “home” really means?! If you are interested in adopting or learning more about Jelly, please submit an adoption application through our website at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. Once this application is submitted, we will happily answer any questions you might have and set up a meet and greet.
