My story

Meet Minnie – Over a YEAR of Love, Growth, and Cuddles!

Hi there, I’m Minnie!
It’s been over a year since my foster parents found me—lost, lonely, and hungry on the streets of Buffalo. Since then, I’ve come a long way, and they’ve learned so much about who I truly am: a snuggly, kissy, happy girl with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life!

✨ Here’s what they’ve discovered about me:

I’m full of energy and joy but also the best napping buddy. I love to curl up and relax with my people.

I didn’t even know what kibble was at first, but now I enjoy my meals and snacks—especially veggies, pumpkin, apples, and tasty treats!

I’m potty trained! It took a little time, but I’ve nailed it now.

I love walks, playing with my flirt pole, doing puzzles for treats, and working on training. I’ve even completed a 7-week training course to help me feel more confident around other dogs!

I know lots of commands like sit, come inside, leave it, crate, come up, lay down, and find my bone. I might need an occasional reminder, but I’m eager to please.

I’m a sweetheart when my humans are feeling down—nothing a cuddle and a gentle kiss can’t fix.

I patiently sit for veggie snacks while my foster mom cooks and never sneak food from the counter!

I get along well with my foster sister, but I’d really thrive as the only pet in the home where I can be your one and only. ♥️

If I could ask for just one thing from my future forever family, it would be patience. My past may be unknown, but I do know I wasn’t truly loved—until now. I’m ready to give you all the affection, loyalty, and joy I have to offer.

If you think we’re meant to be, apply to meet me at BuffaloCares.org. I’ll be waiting with open paws and a wagging tail!

With love,
Minnie

The Adoption process:
*Submit your online adoption application
* If you already have pets in your home, they must be up to date on their vaccinations.
*Once the reference & vet checks are complete and approved, we will be in contact to schedule a home visit and/or meet & greet with the animal you are interested in. All members of the family including any current pets must be present.
*Based on your references, home visit and meet & greet, we will approve or deny your application to adopt or recommend a different animal who may be a better fit for your home.
*If approved, we will set up a date for you to adopt your new companion animal. If an animal is not yet spayed/neutered, we will set up your adoption for a time after they have been altered. We will not adopt out any animal until they have been spayed/neutered unless the animal is determined, by our veterinarian, unable to be spayed/neutered due to a medical condition or that it would be a danger to their well being.
