My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Athena is a petite, 40 lbs Treeing Tennessee Brindle. She is 8 years old but is a healthy bundle of happy energy and has so much play and love to give to a new family. She is housebroken and crate trained and already has good manners in the house. She is very playful and active and will knock down very small children so her ideal family would have kids over the age of 5. She is friendly and sweet to children of all ages. Athena is good with the right other dog and a proper introduction. She would do best acclimating to a home with only one other dog that has been well socialized.

Athena is part of our rehoming program. Her existing family has an infant and a toddler and she gets the zoomies and runs through the house and knocks the toddler over, they are rehoming her because they feel she would do best in a home without children that are so small. Athena is currently in the custody of her existing owners and we are helping to find her a new, forever home. All information provided was given by the current owners.

Adoption fee: $150. Athena is spayed and current on vaccines.

More about this rescue

Happy Trails Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue based in Central Florida. Established in 2013, we have successfully placed over 200 dogs. As we continue to grow, we have opened our Community Resource Center in 2019 and provide training, education, grooming events, and a food pantry for those in need in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. Thanks to our training scholarships, we have helped over 100 rescue dogs have continued success in their furever home.
