Guinea Pigs: Piggies are adopted in pairs, unless you are needing a single piggy for a piggy you already have.
Bunnies: Adopted as pairs or singles.
Both: Currently bonded pairs will NOT be split up.
We do require an approved application be on file prior to scheduling a visit

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- The first step in adoption from Texas Rustlers is to fill out an application online: https://www.theguineapigrescue.com/adoption-application
- Approve Application
- Our volunteer staff will process your application as soon as they are able and get in touch with you via email about your application.
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- Once you're approved, we'll schedule an appointment on a Saturday between 9AM-5PM. You can meet and select your furry friend then!
- Sign Adoption Contract
- A contract will be signed during your adoption appointment.
- Pay Fee
- Our store cashier will process your adoption fee and help you select all supplies you may need. We accept cash, check or credit/debit card.
- Take the Pet Home
- Bring a pet carrier or at least a towel lined laundry basket with you to transport your new friend home!
