Dixie Belle is a 12-week old Catahoula mix girl, and she has special powers. Don’t look her directly in the eye, or you’ll find out that she can hypnotize you and then, you’re a goner and must have the puppy breath! Dixie Belle might try to act like the Boss Lady sometimes, but she’s really the least confident one when we go into new situations, so like all of us, she just needs reassurance. Dixie Belle has a bit different look from her sisters, and may possibly have some Aussie in her DNA. She loves to run and play and explore, especially all of the new smells and things there are to find in the yard. Dixie was crate trained in under a week, and even at her young age, she can now go all night without an accident in her crate, and then runs straight outside in the morning to go potty. Now that she’s been acclimated to her crate by feeding her in it, she has no problem going in it any time you need to crate her. I started out tossing a treat into the crate and she would run in and get it, but after just a few days of that, she now knows that the crate means treats, and she will run in and wait, and then I close the door and give her the treat. The only time she ever vocalizes in her crate is when she’s letting you know it’s time to go out and potty. She has received all age-appropriate vaccinations—all 4 parvo/distemper and 2 Bordetella--is in excellent health, is microchipped, and is current on flea and heartworm preventative. She is available for a $250 adoption fee on a Spay contract that requires her adopter has her spayed when she is old enough.
