My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maybelle (with the Maybelline eyes) is a playful, beautiful, shy at first young girl who came to use from a high kill shelter where she was on her last day. She was quite nervous initially, but after being in a foster home , her happy spirit is shining through. DNA test says husky, cattle dog and chihuahua! She loves to play ball, is learning to walk nicely on a leash, does well with other animals but does like to chase cats. She would likely thrive with a young, playful buddy. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.org and contact 775-846-3773 or donna@tahoewarf.org who is currently fostering her in Incline Village.April 26, 2024, 8:52 pm

We have a network of foster homes where the animals reside while waiting for adoption. Our website is kept updated with adoptable animals. We are building a sanctuary which will house adoptable animals and permanent residents.

On occasion we do adoptions at various locations. Check our website or Facebook for details.
