My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Izabell! My people call me by various names - Izzy, sweetheart, and goofball just to name a few. I am a 45 pound lab mix, about 1.5 years old and just about the most loveable dog out there!

If I had to pick one word to describe me, I think I would pick "happy". I love to play with other dogs (check out my video playing with my foster sisters), I love to run around, I love to chase balls, and I love pretty much everything and everybody. Most of all, I love my people. Wherever they go, that's where you are likely going to find me. I like to make sure they are okay, and also like to be handy for them to scratch my ears or give me a big ole hug if they so choose!

I would do best with a fenced yard, so I can run around and play with enough space to burn energy. I'm smart as a whip, learn quickly, love routines, and definitely want to please. While I've got plenty of energy that I like to burn (see above: playing, running, chasing balls, etc.), I'm just as good and happy with chilling out. Whether it's chewing on my bones, lying on my dog bed, or snuggling by my people's feet, it's all good - as long as I can be around my people.

I'm told I'm very funny, a little goofy, and have the cutest ears. I am a happy, happy girl and would love to meet my furever family soon and become an amazing part of your family. Let's talk!

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
