My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Calling all large dog lovers! Reno is your boy.

He is a big ole lug who would be happy to hang out with you on your couch and catch up on all of the latest shows. He is really chill and loves everyone he meets. He is such a sweet guy and even though he is a big fella, he is very good on a leash and has very polite manners. Meet this big, sweet boy. You will be so glad you did. He is such a winner!

Reno is six years old and weighs 96 pounds. He is completely housebroken and crate trained.

Location: Foster home

The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting Reno, please call the shelter to make an appointment or complete an online adoption application. If you currently have a dog at home, we recommend bringing it to meet Reno.

More about this shelter

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
