My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST: Baloo was found running with another dog close to a busy road by a good Samaritan. The finder was only able to catch Baloo. An owner could not be found for him after multiple attempts. Baloo is only about 3 months old and weighs 14 lbs right now. We think he is a Husky mix. He took to his temporary home immediately - not shy or scared. He is affectionate and friendly with dogs and other people. He is beginning to understand commands and is working on his housebreaking. He is crate trained and sleeps on a bed inside his crate. He has a healthy appetite and sleeps well. He is comfortable both inside and outside the home. He also seems fine to ride in the car. Baloo would make a great companion. Baloo has had his first puppy shots but will need additional shots as he gets older and will need to be neutered when he is old enough. Please note that because he has very sharp puppy teeth and claws, we do not recommend him to families with children under 5.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
