Freckles is all love, acceptance, and trust. He is deeply attached to his human friends and loves to be snuggled right up next to you, seeing if he can shapeshift his little body into yours. Freckles has made a lot of progress at PAWS Atlanta, as we've watched him grow in confidence. He is starting to feel so much better about things, and he's starting to smile and show joy again. It has taken some time to rebuild his confidence after being left behind at our gate twice, but he's finally showing us his silly side. Freckles thrives on stability and routine. He loves seeing his friends, going for walks on our trail, and being rewarded with treats. He also loves his required snuggle time, required because you MUST snuggle this sweet potato. Freckles can pass other dogs politely but isn't a fan of them up close, so he would do best as an only pet. This guy is so, so deserving of every good thing. He recently took a break from the shelter in a foster home, and his fosters shared this about him: "Just wanted to let you know how wonderful Freckles is. He is a smart fellow who picks up very quickly on routines. He's completely house-trained and very interactive, loyal, affectionate, and makes you feel like you have a good companion. He has a favorite ball that he plays with. He'll drop it so it rolls and then chases it. So when we are busy, he keeps himself entertained. He doesn't bark in the back yard and will not disturb neighbors. We agree he would be best if he's the only dog in the home.
