My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If we had to pick a wingwoman for our next roadtrip or Las Vegas girls' weekend, it would have to be Yoko. This dog is the bomb, and 100% bombproof. She's wide-eyed with wonder and good to the bone. Yoko is a medium-sized, athletic, lanky mystery mix. She's curious about everything and open to anything. You drive, she'll work the radio dial. Yoko's family could not keep her, but they had nothing but good things to say about her on their surrender forms, which tells you a lot about her (and, really, about them). Often, people will list all the things "wrong with the pet they're surrendering. Yoko's family listed everything right about her. Everything she's good at. Not one negative comment about her. And, it's easy to see why. She meets people easily and feels comfortable out in the world. Her previous family wrote Yoko "does well comprehending boundaries and will respect them. She knows her basic tricks, including sit, roll over, stay and give me your paw. On the last part of her surrender sheet, they wrote, "She's a good girl and deserves a good home. We just can't keep her right now. Yoko would love a home with a sunny side up person like her. She'd love to go on car rides and hike along the Atlanta Belt Line. She'd love to see the mountains, and swim after sticks in a lake. She'd be the perfect summer companion. We see the good in all our shelter guests. But, Yoko is special. She's a light, and we can't wait to see her shine in her new home. If you think you might be a good fit for Yoko, come see us.
