My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

2/16/24.  MAKO is wondering why no one has come for her yet. This gorgeous 1 year old is as sweet as can be. She finds herself at the rescue because she wasn’t doing well in apartment setting and would benefit from a large yard to run and play in. She has been with our amazing trainer and is impeccably trained, likes other dogs and is a total lovebug not to mention adorable No cats or young children for MAKO. Get your apps in for this gem. She is ready to go home!

01/04/24 This is Mako she’s a sweet girl can sometimes be a little timid around people. She has sensitive skin. Very well behaved and her obedience is immaculate. She will tear up dog beds so it’s best to give her an elevated dog cot or thick padded quilt. I would like her to be in a home with Older children 12 and up. Other dogs would be acceptable too if meet and greet goes over well. Very food motivated. She weights roughly 40 pounds super tiny girl.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
