My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

4/24/24. Two year old Alex is an adorable Dobie mix looking for his furever family. This boy waits patiently in his kennel until he is let out. He is a playful bundle of energy but once he gets his zoomies out just wants to snuggle and be loved on.  He is extremely sweet and affectionate, loves playing with our volunteer’s children. As he came from the shelter we have no history on him with dogs or cats but he does appear to like other dogs at the rescue.  Alex may not be purebred but he is 100% pure lovebug and he will make a great addition to one lucky family.

3/28/24  Welcome Alex, a sweet boy. Confiscated in Miami Dade and ended up at MDAS.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
