My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Henry, the charming pooch with a heart of gold and a few quirks that make him all the more lovable!

Henry is a dashing fellow who's looking for a forever home where he can be the center of attention. What's his quirk you may ask? He is a real sweetheart but particular about one thing: having hands in his food bowl. But fear not! You can pet him while he eats or even hand-feed him without a single growl. How can this be managed? Well, we have Henry follow the commands 'sit' and 'stay' until we give him the command to go eat. Henry respects our boundaries just as we respect his!

The second little quirk? This handsome lad is a bit of a dominant dog, especially around other alpha types.

But put a leash on him, and he's ready for an adventure! Henry adores his walks and car rides, always eager to explore the world by your side.

When he's not on the go, Henry's all about that cuddle life. Belly rubs are his weakness, and he'll happily trade them for kisses any day. Plus, he's as playful as they come and quick to learn new tricks, making him the perfect companion for someone with a zest for life.

If you're looking for a loyal friend who's equal parts affectionate and adventurous, Henry's your guy. Come meet him today and discover the joy of having this charming canine by your side!

More about this shelter

Moore County Friends of Animals is a 501c3 nonprofit rescue and adoption center in the second smallest county in Tennessee, with a population of just over 6,300.
We were founded in 2013 by volunteers to solve the stray/overpopulation problem in our county. Moore County does NOT have a county animal shelter, FoA is the only resource our community has. Our mission is to provide a safe, comfortable place for unwanted dogs and cats from Moore County to stay while they wait to be adopted into their forever home. They will receive quality care and will be fully vetted, which will include spay or neutering, preventatives and vaccinations. We will provide financial assistance for spay/neuter procedures
for residents within Moore County when funds are available and we will educate the community on how to properly care for their pets and the importance of spay/neuter. We will also spay/neuter Community
cats of Moore County when funds are available.
When able, we will provide low income residents
of Moore County with pet food.
