My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scooby, an adorable 10 yr old Mini Pin.

Scooby is best described as a funny, sometimes grumbly, lap dog. He loves to burrow under blankets and is a real cuddler after he warms up to you. He does well in a playpen with his blanket and also is good with a belly band.

Scooby is on kidney food and needs to remain on this prescription diet.

His foster mom says, Scooby, despite his occasional grumpiness, is an absolute charmer. He has a unique personality - cuddly, lap-loving, and fond of burrowing in blankets. However, he has moments of irritability, especially if I try to pet him when he's not in the mood. Sometimes he demands attention by pushing his head under my hand. He gets into these zoomie moods and chases his tail, occasionally trying to "bite," but given hie only has one tooth, it's harmless.

Outdoors, he's well-behaved on the leash, and I can even let him off leash in the yard. He stays close, follows me around, and overall, he's a good boy.

Despite his quirks, Scooby is truly lovable, and his manageable size makes his occasional snappy behavior endearing. We know he will bring so much joy to his human and will love them with total loyalty.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
