My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for your new best friend? Nestle is the happiest and most loyal dog you will ever meet! Nestle gives the best hugs and kisses and somehow knows when you need them. He is full of love and snuggles, and he enjoys curling up next to you while you’re watching TV. He’s about 2 years old, weighs 78 pounds, and we believe he’s a Collie/Shepherd mix. Nestle knows the basics… sit, stay, lay down, shake, and kennel. He loves toys, playing fetch, and his favorite…a kong full of treats!
Nestle’s foster momma says “they don’t get any better than Nestle. He is the BEST!! I’m telling you he is absolutely the best dog. Super super smart. He is a lover of all things and picks up on commands very quickly… he loves to cuddle and always wants his paw to be on you. He also loves to go on walks and gets super excited about meeting new dogs and new people.“
Nestle is housebroken, crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventives. If you’d like to make this all-around amazing boy a member of your family, please email bigyellowdog.wendy@gmail.com for an application.

More about this rescue

PHILOSOPHY : Based on an Albert Schweitzer quote

" THINK OCCASIONALLY OF THE
SUFFERING OF WHICH
YOU SPARE YOURSELF THE SIGHT."

SOS Dogs works with a network of excellent rescues in rural America to help alleviate the massive problem of pet OVER- population. The women we work with are inundated with dogs and puppies that otherwise would be euthanized in local shelters It is a deeply saddening fact that dogs and puppies are euthanized for no other reason than simply lack of space, lack of compassion, no regulating laws. We work to have a NO KILL SOCIETY. Until this goal is achieved we will continue to aid rescuers in rural areas place loving dogs into approved homes where they can be valued family members.
