My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fade: A Gentle Soul Seeking Love and Comfort

Hello, dear potential forever family! My name is Fade, and I'm an adorable pale orange tabby cat with a heart full of hope. I'm here to share my story and let you know why I could be the purrfect addition to your loving home.

I'm just a little over a year old, and life has been a bit challenging for me so far. I started my journey with a human who loved me, but life took an unexpected turn when they passed away. I was left all alone in our apartment, and it left a mark on my tender heart. The trauma of those lonely days has made me a bit nervous, but I'm ready for a second chance at a happy life.

Despite my initial shyness, I'm a sweet and loving boy who dreams of finding a forever family to share my days with. I may take a little time to open up, but once you get to know me, you'll see the warmth and affection I have to offer. I appreciate the simple joys of life, like watching the world go by through a screen door and lounging in a cozy window hammock.

I've been through a lot, but my spirit remains unbroken. I enjoy playing with other cats and can coexist peacefully with cat-friendly dogs. I also would probably be ok being a solo furbaby. I've been neutered and am up to date on all my vaccines, ready to embark on a new chapter of my life.

My favorite pastime is relaxing in my kitty scratching post tree, feeling safe and content indoors. I long for a home where I can be surrounded by warmth, love, and understanding. A gentle soul like me deserves a sanctuary to heal and be cherished.

If you're looking for a feline companion to share your life with, consider opening your heart to me, Fade. Let's create a bond that will last a lifetime. Contact my foster home, and let's start a beautiful journey together.
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.May 11, 2024, 5:51 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
