My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DSH – brown tabby
-Female-
Felv/FIV negative
DOB approx 09/15/21

Hi peeps! My name is Wendy and I'm a Tucson native.

I was born on the the streets of Tucson and rescued during a TNR effort. Being a friendly kitten, I was taking into the care of the rescue and placed in a foster home with my brothers.

I'm initially shy which also does not help when people want to meet me. I promise, I'm only shy at first but am affectionate and love my people once I started trusting them. Just ask my foster mom. One thing I do not like is being picked up and held for longer periods of time aka carried around. It's just something I do not like.

But, please let me tell you what I am bringing to the table. I'm a playful and loving cat after I get to know you. My foster home is kind of buys with human children, two mid-size dogs, and other rescue cats which leads me to seek attention later in the day when things are more quiet. When the mood strikes, I like my belly rubbed. You will know when that is as I will plop on the floor right in front of your feet.

I also like sleeping on the bed with my foster mom as I am a snuggle bug. I'm the best Netflix buddy you can ask for and I won't spoil the ending of movies. I don't judge if we watch movies or listen to music on the couch or in bed as long as I can snuggle up with you. I promise!

My preferred home would be one where I could be the only cat and be spoiled rotten. I'm live with the dogs in the home and even though I'm okay(ish) with the other cats, I would do best in a home without other cats. With that being said, I really would love to have a human and home to call my home.

I’m what they call "ready for my forever home" as I'm already spayed, current on age appropriate vaccines, and have a microchip. I'm good with dogs, older kids, and will pick my person.

My adoption fee of $140 includes:
*spay surgery
*up to day on vaccines
*Felv/FIV testing
*deworming
*microchip

More about this rescue

SOS Cat Rescue AZ is a solely volunteer-run and foster-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Tucson, Arizona.

S.O.S. stands for saving orphan kittens and senior cats in danger of euthanasia from the local shelter and gives these cats a second chance for a "happily ever after" life. The kitties are solely placed in foster homes where they will be taken care of according to their individual needs such as bottle feeding for orphans, socialization for kittens while growing up, medical attention to the sick, and hospice care for seniors.

Since all our cats are in foster homes, we get to know them, their behavior, and their needs very well so we can help you find the cat that is a match for you.

S.O.S. is founded by experienced Tucson based rescuers who wanted to focus on special-need-cats and their well-being. Our team consists of excellent foster families, specialized bottle-feeders with years of experience, as well as strong individuals with a loving heart for senior cats, their special needs, and the knowledge that most of our seniors are with us because of their deteriorating health. This means we give senior cats a loving hospice forever home where they can  pass over in a home situation, loved and cared for.

Our goals are to rescue urgent kittens and senior cats in need, provide them with the care they need, and find them wonderful homes and a place to live out their remaining days. We are also working hard at screening the potential families and asking the right questions to ensure every single one of our rescued kitties finds their happily ever after home.

We retain the right to refuse adoption to anyone for any reason.
