My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baby Girl's story is one of bittersweet transition. Having been the cherished companion to her owner, she now finds herself seeking a new home due to circumstances beyond her control. This elegant feline has known nothing but love and pampering, thriving as an adored only pet. She possesses a gentle nature, reveling in the warmth of human attention-from cozy laps to the delight of occasional tummy rubs. Although she carries the legacy of an old injury in her left rear leg, Baby Girl moves with grace and assurance, her spirit undimmed by this physical reminder of her past. What she seeks now is a serene, adult-only household, where the presence of other pets won't disturb her peace. Baby Girl's ideal future is one where she can continue to be the center of her new family's world, offering her affection and companionship in a tranquil setting that suits her quiet, loving ways. Born 1/6/18. Adoption Fee is $25 and includes Spay/Neuter, Age Appropriate Vaccines, Dewormed (Flea Treatment if needed) and Combo Tested for FIV/Felv. If interested, please give us a call at 423-442-1015 to come and meet her.

More about this shelter

Concern over a large, and ever increasing, population of homeless dogs and cats, instigated the opening of the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the shelter by providing volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
