Adoptable Frankie is a shepherd mix - dog, cat and kid friendly - looking for a forever home! She is fun, playful, has a great base of training and super excited to meet everyone.

The ideal home will be loving, kind, active, and ready for all things young dog! Frankie was rescued with her littermates this winter. They were saved from a homeless camp where the owner loved his dog (their mama) and wanted better for them, so asked the shelter to help. He took the best care of them that he could but we are very glad we got them so young and were able to place them in loving foster homes to give them such a wonderful start. Their mama was spayed by animal control and remains with her guardian, who adores her. No more babies for mama ever again!

Here’s what her foster mama has to say about Frankie:

Frankie is a curious, affectionate, and energetic sweetheart. She is always up for a game of fetch and loves chew toys. She is interested in cats and respects their boundaries. She is extroverted with the older dogs she lives with. She’s lived with a six year old, two older small dogs and a cat. Frankie is very smart and eager to learn.

Frankie is being fostered in SACRAMENTO, CA
Estimated DOB: 10/1/2023

$375 adoption donation includes includes age-appropriate shots, microchip with free lifetime registry, deworming, flea preventative, and spay/neuter agreement addendum

Interested in adopting?
1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application
2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call!
3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home

Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.
